Todd Eckert


Todd Eckert, 39, of the North Side is a producer on "Control," a film about the late Ian Curtis, lead singer of the post-punk rock band Joy Division. Eckert moved from Los Angeles 6 years ago to make Pittsburgh his home and has worked in film, music and video games since he was 14 years old. "Control" is opening November 9th in Pittsburgh.

Not to pile on with them (and the "make a print" comment deserves a shot in the mouth) but you could have preserved most of the elements of the photo by bring him closer to the right side of the frame and have him hunker down, then shoot it with a slightly longer lens. It wouldn't have had exactly the same feel but at least you could have come close. Although I didn't see what they ran.

This is a good photograph. There, now when I'm rich and famous, and selling millions of copies of my photo books, you can look back and show people that one time, I really liked a picture you took...ha ha. No, seriously, nice job on this. It has a very distinct mood.
